Unknown actor and writer Sylvester Stallone was at a boxing match where an unknown boxer called Chuck Wepner managed to go 15 rounds with the World Heavyweight Champion of the World Muhammed Ali. The fight gave Sylvester Stallone an idea for a movie. It only took him three days to write the story about an underdog boxer named Rocky Balboa. Filmed on a low budget in just under a month, Rocky was the hit movie of 1976, it made 60times it's cost. Winning oscars for Best Picture and Best Director.
